Bethany Army, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Army attended The Ohio State University, graduating cum laude in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in biology with research distinction. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry in 2021 from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. During her time at the university, Dr. Army served as vice president of the Epsilon Psi Epsilon Optometric Fraternity (EYE) and was an active member of the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA), the National Optometric Student Association (NOSA), and a student fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO).
Throughout her clinical training, she rotated through the Salt Lake City Veterans Affairs Hospital, the John A. Moran Eye Center, and private practice settings, where she focused on specialty contact lens fitting, the treatment and management of ocular disease, co-management of refractive and cataract surgery, and low vision rehabilitation.
After graduation, Dr. Army joined The Ohio State University as a Clinical Assistant Professor, where she continues to work one day per week, mentoring optometry students in the Contact Lens and Primary Vision Care Clinics.
Dr. Army is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, an active member of the American Optometric Association, and serves as Zone 12 Trustee for the Central Ohio Optometric Association.
She regularly volunteers with Better Vision Better Hope, Realeyes, InfantSEE, and iSEE programs, providing comprehensive eye exams to those in need and educating communities on the importance of eye care.
Dr. Army attends annual conferences to stay current on the latest advancements in education and technology, and she values maintaining professional connections with colleagues nationwide.
In her spare time, she enjoys working with her horses on her family’s farm, traveling, hiking, and exercising.
